The 25th anniversary of Haitian Heritage Month will officially launch with an opening reception hosted by Miami-Dade County Commissioner Marleine Bastien, alongside Mayor Daniella Levine Cava. This year’s theme, “Reclaiming Tomorrow: Sowing Seeds of Change,” highlights resilience, cultural pride, and forward-thinking vision within the Haitian-American community.
The reception will take place at the historic Ancient Spanish Monastery—an intentional shift to a venue more accessible to the Haitian population in North Miami and North Miami Beach. This milestone celebration also marks a new chapter, with the Commissioner’s Office leading the event in place of HACCOF.
RSVP is required by Thursday, April 24. For more information, contact the Office of Commissioner Marleine Bastien.
